CRE Pros Can Peak Inside the World of Finance

Considering the current state of the economy, it's not surprising that finance professionals are looking for answers. And given the level of anger that most Americans have about the financial meltdown, they may prefer to share their issues online. According to a USA Today/Gallup poll released earlier this month, 53% of Americans describe themselves as "angry" about the financial crisis gripping the nation.

But now bankers and related professionals have a new place to share their issues, best practices, deals and even job vacancies--and commercial real estate professionals are welcome to drop in. The venue is a social networking site called Bankers Avenue. Forget Facebook. Move over MySpace. Bankers feeling the strain of the past 12 months of financial turmoil have a new online rendezvous - in the form of social networking site Bankers Avenue.

The site, founded by a Monaco-based banker, is intended as a meeting place for bankers and financiers globally not only to share their experiences but also to provide some catharsis as the credit crisis continues to bite.... more
